James Marshall

In 1901 his family are living at Pear Tree Cottage, Little Leighs:

By 1911 James is 18 years old and living in Felstead as a Lodger at the Sugar Loaves Public House, in Willows Green. The public house was also a bakery, and James worked with the owner William Frank Digby as a Baker.

James served as Private soldier 12274 with the 9th Battalion, the Essex Regiment.

He died on 12th October 1915, and is buried at Dud Corner Cemetery, Loos.
